Mary Watkins Mumford was the daughter of Joseph Watkins and Elizabeth.
Joseph was the son of Richard Watkins, who is thought to be the one w ho
came to the "Abraham" of London in 1635, and was listed as aged 20. He
settled in York County and died there before December 20, 1669, whe n his
inventory was returned to court. Elizabeth was the widow of William
Purnell, by her second marriage. She had married Christopher Stafford
previously.
